6 ways jealousy can be a good thing

We’re taught from a young age that envy is a pretty ugly emotion. And let’s be honest, no one really wants to fess up to wanting what someone else has got. But in reality, sometimes we can’t help but look at another person's life and feel a bit… I want what they’ve got. Am I right?

I’ve definitely been guilty in the past of looking at what other successful women are doing and thinking, why does she deserve to that? Or thinking, how come she gets everything so easily when I’m working so hard? Or bitching in my mind about someone else’s body, purely because I’m jealous that those thighs are not my own.

Why feeling lost in a good thing

This week I had a big conversation with a client who was having a crisis of feeling lost. You know that feeling right? The one where you feel like you’re treading water and going nowhere. Then wondering if you’re even travelling in the right direction. Yup one of those moments. But then it occurred to me that these moments of feeling alone or lost can actually be a good thing.

When we’re feeling lost it creates space to hear what you actually want, what your gut is telling you.
It gives us time and space to get honest and work out what it is that’s making us feel this way.  Ooph I know, getting honest with yourself is as tough as getting honest with anyone else right. But stay with me.

Just start... kicking procrastination and fear into touch.

JUST START! I have written that sentence to myself a 100 times in journals, on post-its and in notes on my phone. Just start.

But it’s so hard!

Even writing this blog brought a paralysis that made me instantly need to check my emails, go make a cup of coffee, read another blog (for inspiration right), think about what I was doing later and day-dream about a Portugal holiday.
